Camp Opportunity is a non-profit organization, made up of volunteers that are committed to making a difference in the lives of children.
We service the Greenville County area in South Carolina.
For over 27 years, Camp Opportunity has been running free programs throughout the year with a focus on summer programs for children in the foster care system.
Each summer, children that have been abused and neglected are given the gift of camp. That gift encompasses being:

When our campers head home from camp, they go home with the next year’s school supplies, a new pair of shoes and a new back-to-school outfit.
Camp Opportunity gives children hope for a better tomorrow, a head start to school with lasting impressions of a great summer experience with great friends.
To provide abused or neglected children an opportunity to have a respite from the storm of their lives; safe, loving, fun and meaningful experiences we call camp -- Camp Opportunity.
Camp Opportunity’s vision is that these children in Greenville County know that they are loved, realize there are trustworthy people in the world advocating for them, have self-esteem and confidence to love and take care of themselves and recognize that their future does not have to be an extension of their past.

Whats All the Buzz About!The 3rd Annual Camp Opportunity Adult Spelling Bee will be held February 26, 2009 at the Handlebar.
Remember the spelling bee in grammar school? Did it bring fear to your heart?
Well, Camp Opportunity is having an adult spelling bee with lots of fun and no fear.
We will be raising funds to benefit Camp Opportunity’s work with abused and
neglected children.
Join us at the Handlebar on Stone Avenue Thursday, February 26th, 2009 for
an evening of laughter and “Bee” a hero for the kids of Camp Opportunity.
Form a team and compete or just come out and support the teams!
